Total Weight Loss 6 lbs
I wake up and don't feel hungry with another 1lb lost I'm happy. The weight loss has slowed down but secretly I am hoping to have lost at least 7lbs by Monday. I've stopped feeling faint and surprisingly, even though I am eating very little, I feel quite energized. The grilled peaches with yoghurt was enjoyable and I'm looking forward to the salmon tonight.
I have never been a slim girl and I have struggled with my weight from an early age and it has yo-you'd over the years with periods where I have felt slim and others where I have felt enormous and wanted to hide so no one would see me. The consequence of this is that I hate photographs and suffer from negative body image at times I've tried the diets: cabbage soup, Atkins, slimming world and I've been on weight watchers forever. It worked when I started but I get to that space where I've lost a bit and start to feel better and it all goes pear shape and slowly the weight goes back on and I'm back to square one. My friends say I have lots of clothes but that is because I have a selection depending on where I am in my yo-yo.
Today I check my BMI which is 32.3, the obese category. What is frightening is that the weight I WAS aiming for is still in the overweight category and I would need to lose an additional 7lbs to fall into the normal category. I must have shot through the normal category when I was asleep because I can't remember ever being that light. It is a bit of a slap in the face for me and I makes me more determined to make this a lifestyle change rather than a diet.
I was definitely very hungry by the time dinner came around. I've had my salmon and I am off to a salsa party. It will stop me thinking about food and burn a few calories.
